Hello and welcome!
My name is Brian Eastwood. I am a writer, editor, researcher, and occasional speaker on the topics of health care information technology (IT), digital health, and health care transformation. I define and execute editorial strategy for business-to-business as well as consumer-facing content.
My primary goal is to provide health care content expertise to all industry stakeholders — providers, payers, employers, IT vendors, advocacy groups, and patients and their families. I see the big picture of how health care delivery operates in the United States, and I also understand the nuance of health care’s many intersecting markets.
This website provides a glimpse of the work that I have done, the topics that I care about, and how I would like to see the health care industry move forward. I embrace new research both within and outside health care, and I enjoy ongoing learning opportunities for topics that I have covered for many years.
I am available for full-time, contract, or freelance writing work. I balance daily deadlines and manage long-term projects. The work in my portfolio ranges from 250-word breaking news stories to a 160-page graduate thesis (available for review on request, though to date no one has actually made that request).
